Is Pakistan transforming into a Neocolonial State of China?

Description

The rapid expansion of the Chinese economy during the last four decades has ignited a cold war between China and the United States for global dominance. Therefore, the Chinese economy for its expansion requires neocolonial states such as Pakistan, which exist at a strategically important location. My thesis focuses on the different strategies and policies China is implementing to transform Pakistan into its neocolonial state. It provides a lucid explication of the causes of Pakistan’s worsening terms of trade, increasing debt and depleting foreign exchange reserves, which have led to a massive depreciation of the Pakistani Rupee.
